"CAFS Quality"
"There are many manufacturers offering CAFS units and the acquisition of any one of these would be an asset to a department, especially an under-staffed rural department on a tight budget. After comparing various units in action and first hand experience with ours, I have no hesitation in recommending the HUB. Once again, thanks for a fine job on the truck. It was certainly a favourable experience dealing with an organization as professional as yours. I have heard it explained that I "should be purchasing my units from company XYZ as they are the largest manufacturer".... - you get the picture. My experiences indicate that what you don't get from the "largest manufacturer" is care and commitment.
This is the second unit I have purchased from HUB albeit the first new unit. On both occasions I have been impressed with the professional and courteous attitudes displayed by all staff, office and floor alike, before, during and post-purchase. I appreciate the care and attention Glenn, Trevor and Mike displayed during the design stages of the unit. I was most impressed with the attitude displayed by the staff in the shop.
As I was "wandering" around during my visits, I had the opportunity to meet and discuss various facets of the emergency vehicle construction with people like Joe and Dennis. I apologize for not remembering everyone's name I came in contact with but rest assured, the attention given to me and the sincere consideration paid to my constant queries was much appreciated. At no time did I ever receive an indication that I was imposing on their duties or that I was an inconvenience to them.
This is the type of attention the "largest manufacturer" will not provide. The staff at HUB deserve to be congratulated for their attention to not only quality production but their awareness of the "SERVICE". Providing a quality item is nice but if you are treated like ....., a customer will probably not be back. The attention to details at all levels provides that HUB Fire Engines will be a definite contender in future requests.

"By the way – you might be interested to know that because of our tankers we have been upgraded by the insurance underwriters to ‘hydrant status’. We are the third western Canada fire department to achieve this status. It means 30-50 percent savings on every single homeowner's insurance policy. I personally saved $500 this year. We had to produce 200 gpm for 2 hours from two static water sources by way of water haul. We couldn’t have done it without those two 1500 gallon tankers. Our next step is to produce 400gpm for 2 hours. That will give our commercial buildings hydrant status and similar savings."
